This month we’ve got a round up of the latest in online book clubs and Kate Spade’s contribution to your hot new look. Enjoy!

E-gear.com: Sony Teams With Martha Stewart
The Sony Reader and Martha Stewart Omnimedia team up for an online book club (and a giveaway to kick it off). Maybe Martha is trying to get in on Oprah’s action. I’m thinking she’s got an uphill battle there!

NY Times Blog: Social Books Hopes to Make E-Reading Communal
There have been and are many forms of online book clubs, but Social Books is trying to take online book club to a new level. Interacting with Facebook and Twitter and via an e-Reader app where you can comment directly about a book. Seems like a fun toy but I’d rather have a glass of wine and my girls for some live conversation given the choice.

In case you weren’t sure what to buy, here is the perfect holiday gift for every book club member on your list. Okay maybe too pricey for that, but certainly these fabulous clutches need to be on your list for Santa. Were you naughty or nice?

PR Newswire: New Online Book Club to Benefit Sean Penn’s Haiti Foundation.

1world1book.com is a new online book club on a mission. They pick a book every two months and a charity to go with it and every book purchased through the site benefits that charity. Of course you have all the usual online discussion options – but now you’re doing something good too.

Are you in an online book club? If not would you consider it! Why or why not? And PS – don’tcha just love the bag? Feel free to comment here on the blog, or email me at
