I looked up at my handsome husband. Any woman would be proud to call him hers. And I was…only….. He slumped against the desk, holding my hand.

I cleared my throat and began again. “I don’t know why you’re so surprised. I told you how things were at the office. We both suspected that something was up. Do you really think I should have stayed? Belittled myself? Accepted their crumbs. Let them USE me some more?”
