The Clifton Chronicles (RGG)

Deep Down Dark

Julie Lewit-Nirenberg

A successful business executive, Julie’s experience includes building and marketing new enterprises both in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Her publishing experience is quite vast. It began with being a part of the launch of Ms. magazine. Julie then went on to work at Woman’s Day, Savvy and Esquire. She was the founding Publisher of New York Woman magazine, which broke new ground by effectively ‘networking’ women in the greater New York region.

Jennifer Murgia

Jennifer Murgia writes moody fiction for teens --- from paranormal fantasy, to contemporary gut-punchers, to her latest, a 17th century historical mystery (about witches!) She also moonlights as Marketing Director for Leap Books and runs a teen book festival on the east coast called YA FEST. In her spare time she chills out with her kids, snuggles with her cat, obsesses over "The Walking Dead" and tries not to eat too much ice cream. Find her at

Skylar Dorset

Skylar’s first story was a tale of romantic intrigue involving two feuding factions of squirrels. Think “Romeo & Juliet” but with bushy tails and added espionage. She was seven. Since that time, Skylar’s head has been filled with lots of characters and lots of drama. She is delighted to be able to share some of it with all of you now, because, honestly, it was getting pretty loud and crowded in there.

December 2014

Besides reading, knitting and cooking, I am an avid movie watcher. Once the weekly newsletter update goes out for Bookreporter.com (our sister site) on a Friday night, I typically find myself watching a movie to unwind. I am back to reading on Saturday mornings. I have a streaming Netflix account, as well as one physical disc to give me an opportunity to watch newer films as well as numerous movie channels on cable. Except over the holidays (Oscar season) and when on vacation, I am not a big fan of going to the movie theater; with my work life so heavily scheduled, I just do not love the idea of having to be at the theater at a given time.
