1. How do you feel about online influencers? Are there any you follow in real life? Are there any you have had to stop following?

2. What does authenticity mean to the characters in the book? How do they view it in their personal lives versus their online lives? Do you think our addiction to social media has created a difference between how we put ourselves out there online and the real us? How does the book explore the gap between online personas and reality?

3. “[The tradwives are] all pushing this arcadian fantasy of homemaking and living off the land, the anti-girl bosses, when they’re all building capitalist empires.” (p. 212) How does money impact people’s decisions in the book?

4. How does the book explore the lies people tell? Are any of these lies justified, or are they always harmful? To what extent are the deceptions in the novel driven by economic necessity versus personal choice?

5. Have you ever been ghosted by a good friend? How did it impact you? And, alternatively, have you ever ghosted a friend? How did that change your life?
