Author Biography

Maureen Hope Sullivan was born in Washington, D.C. and spent most of the next 20 years living overseas. As the daughter of a U.S. State Department diplomat, she and her family lived in Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand and Ethiopia, before she returned to the USA to attend college. She graduated from Boston University and later received an MBA from Simmons College Graduate School of Management.

She has written travel articles, poetry and fiction, and was the publisher of the Southern NH Children's Directory and related publications from 1994 to 1999. In addition to The Sullivan Saga: Memories of an Overseas Childhood, she is the author of Trail Magic: Lost in Crawford Notch, the Gold Medal winner of the Mom’s Choice Award for 2010. It is the story of teenager Angie Jackson, whose family runs a campground in rugged Crawford Notch in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, who lost 4-year-old Melanie while babysitting her and now must find her in the surrounding wilderness.
